I am getting an I3 error (Imbalance error - call service) on the screen when I start up the instrument and when I try and start a program. There is nothing in the centrifuge, so there should not be an imbalance.

Issued when Imbalance value for rotor is set to 0. This is the default value when not calibrated.
The centrifuge is calibrated at the factory and is usually marked inside of the unit.
You can loose that calibration if you move the unit or power outages is my belief. The flag can also come out of place. Most of the time you simply have to clear the error, and reinstall the correct value.
1. Press “enter” ”611” “enter” “start”
2. The centrifuge will run the rotor to speed and brake to a stop.
3. Press “CE” when prompted by the unit.
4. Repeat steps A through F as required.
